You can record the transfer of livestock on and off farm (holdings). This can be between farms on your account or to other AgriWebb user's accounts.
If you need to record the Sale or Purchase of livestock, please use those respective records instead, to maintain accurate record keeping.
Want to transfer livestock to other AgriWebb accounts?
Both parties need to accept user invites for the respective accounts and granted the 'Transfer Only' user role. This will allow you to see the respective farm to transfer the animals to within the Transfer record. See User Management for more info.
Transfer Livestock Off Farm
You can transfer animals off farm via the Web or Mobile Apps from either the Farm Map or Livestock List.
From the Map, select the livestock and choose the Animal Record option.
From the Livestock List, select Add Record, then choose the Transfer Off Farm record.
Once you are within the Transfer Record Form you can fill in all the relevant details such as date, transfer details, destination, transport details and costs.
Then press Save.
Transfer Type - Basic Transfer Record
A basic transfer type will simply mark the livestock as having been transferred off farm, but will not actually transfer the livestock to a different farm or AgriWebb account.
Transfer Type - Transfer Animals Between Farms
You can transfer livestock between farms on your own account. Select the transfer between farms in AgriWebb option and then select the farm name you wish to transfer too.
These steps also work when transferring to a farm on another AgriWebb account. You will need 'Transfer Only' access to the respective farm to see it in the list of farm names. The admin for the other AgriWebb account will need to issue you with a user invite for their account to grant this access. See User Management for more info.
If selling to another business that uses AgriWebb. In this instance you are able to transfer the livestock to them while completing a sale record. See the Sale Record article to complete this step.
View & Accept Transfers
To view and accept transfers on the mobile app select Menu > Livestock Movements > AgriWebb Transfers.
To view on the Web App click Movements in the left side panel.
Outgoing
The Outgoing list shows your pending and historic transfers, these can be viewed and cancelled. In order to cancel an outgoing transfer your AgriWebb mobile app must be online and fully synced.
Note: Cancelling a transfer will prevent the animals from being accepted on the destination farm in AgriWebb, but will not remove the Transfer Off Farm or Sale Record from the animals’ histories. See Editing Transfer Record below for how to fix that data.
Incoming
Transfers to another farm appear as Incoming Transfers on the destination farm. They can be accepted or declined on either the web or mobile apps.
Note: In order to view, accept, or decline an incoming transfer, your AgriWebb Mobile App must be online.
When you have incoming transfers, a number on the menu will indicate how many. If you are expecting transfers but none are appearing, ensure your app is fully synced.
Once accepted fill in the detail fields required and tap Save; these animals are now on their new farm. Note: This may take a few moments on the mobile app as the app is synced during the process.
Edit, Cancel or Delete Transfer Records
Edit - All fields can be modified except for the Transfer Type. Once a transfer is recorded as being between farms in AgriWebb, or if the destination was entered manually that cannot be edited.
A transfer record edit can only be done on the 'incoming' farm that has received the transfer.
Cancel - If you have recorded a transfer between AgriWebb farms and no longer wish to copy the animals to the other farm, cancel the transfer.
Delete - On the Web App, you can delete a cancelled transfer by heading to Movements > Outgoing > Actions > Delete record. On the Mobile App, go to Livestock followed by Activity. Then find the Transfer Off Farm record for those animals and click into it to delete.
What data gets transferred?
For mob management, record history of the livestock cannot be transferred and will no longer appear in the mobs historical timeline.
All the recorded history will still be available however in the respective reports on the farm the mob was original created on. For example, if you want to see joining history of the mob that was recently transferred onto the farm, head to the original farm and view the joining report.
Note the last recorded weight for a mob will be logged against the transfer record for you to view in the record summary and transfers report.
Transfer Animals via Government Body Integrations
In some countries movements on and off farm can be submitted to government bodies from within AgriWebb. Check out our collection of articles for connecting to industry or government bodies for livestock movements.
