Delete Livestock (Mob)

A tutorial on how to delete livestock on Mob Management

Updated this week

This information is related to Mob Management subscriptions. When livestock is deleted, this action is permanent. All history and records for that group are also deleted.

We recommend only deleting newly created livestock. For older livestock, performing a recount and setting the livestock size to 0, will remove them from your farm whilst maintaining their full history. Learn more in our guide about how to perform a Recount.

To delete animals on the Individual system, view this article here

Mobile App

From the Map tab, tap on the livestock you wish to delete.

Under the paddock, select Mobs twice from the pop up, before clicking the mob you wish to delete.

Once the Mob Details are selected, select More from the bottom-right corner then select Delete. Alternatively, you can find the mob through the livestock tab.

Be sure to read through the confirmation boxes carefully. Continue by ticking them off and pressing Yes, delete the livestock.

The livestock will now be deleted from the Mobile App, perform a Manual Sync to push changes across to the Web App.

If the livestock has a lot of history then the delete will be blocked. In this case a recount should be performed and the livestock size set to 0 to remove them from the farm while maintaining its full history. For further details on recounting, view this article here.

Web App

Deleting Mobs on the web isn't possible but you can still preform a recount. Find the mob either through the Farm Map or through the Livestock Tab. Click into the Mob to view it's details > Add Records > Recount Record. For further details on recounting, view this article here.

Bulk Deletion of Mobs

In the case of trying to start fresh with your mobs, you may want to delete all mobs. This can only be done by our support team. Do note, this will involve creating a new farm and coping across the map so all records (including paddock) will be removed. The alternative way to fix this without removing data is by preforming a recount on all mobs. Any questions reach out to our support team.
