Overview
AgriWebb’s Enterprises and Management Groups feature gives producers a smarter way to manage and report on their livestock and operations. Organise your data by the enterprises you run on farm, such as trading, breeding or agistment. Leave it at that, or drill down further using Management Groups like vendors, weight groups or custom stock classes.
A short breakdown of user roles and actions they can take for this feature:

Creating Enterprises
An Enterprise defines a business unit on a farm. A Management Group defines similar animals that are managed in the same way within an Enterprise. To create groups, you need to create the Enterprise first.
Please Note: Only Administrator and Manager user roles have the ability to Add/Edit Management groups within an Enterprise.
To create an enterprise, on the web app head into Livestock and press the Enterprise tab at the top.
Next press the Add Enterprise button, and select the species, type and give the Enterprise a name.
Once you have created the Enterprise, it will appear in your enterprise page like this:
Follow this process again to add another enterprise.
Creating Management Groups
On the enterprise, press the pencil icon to open up the settings.
Then you can press the Add Management Group button and start typing in the names of the groups. The abbreviation option will be displayed on the farm map, this can be a useful tool when identifying mobs in each paddock.
If you need to delete a group, press the red cross. If you need to delete the enterprise, scroll down to the delete section.
Once you have created the groups, it will look like this and then you can assign animals to the management groups.
Assigning Animals to the Management Groups
Once you have created the groups (you must do this before you add livestock), you can begin to select your animals. There are a few different ways to add mobs into the groups, but the simplest way is to select your animals from the Livestock List.
You can select multiple mobs or animals at once and then click 'Add record'. Scroll down the record list to find the Enterprises/management group record.
To remove animals from a group follow the process below but when choosing from the drop-down, select None.

For Mob Management
Head to Livestock and then click the Mob List. Click into the desired mob, click More, then choose the Ent/mgmt group record.

Determining a Name For Your Enterprise
To work out your enterprise, let’s start by defining what kind of operation you run:
Are you a breeding or trading operation? Or both?
If breeding, do you run specialised breeds?
Do you export livestock?
Do you have agisted livestock?
Examples of enterprises on your farm could be
Breeding
Trading
Cow/Calf
Stockers
Grouped by age class
Grouped by weight
Stage of production: breeding, rearing, finishing
Grouped by end-use: Feedlot, Fattening, Backgrounding, Replacement
Next, to work out your management groups, let’s start with a few questions:
How do you manage your animals?
At the crush/chute/cradle, what criteria do you draft based on?
How do you group your animals into mobs? (e.g.by age class, lactation status, weight category)
How do you need to report on your livestock?
The flow chart below gives a handy visual representation of how to think about these two elements.

Reports - Management Groups on Livestock List
The Management Groups and Enterprises of an animal can now be seen as a column on the Livestock List. This will also reflect across reports within the product, making it easier for you to filter your specific groups!
