The Mob subscription captures single records and create reports at a group (or mob) level. This includes average weight and total treatments administered to a group.

Additionally, mob management allows for the grouping of animals based on specific criteria such as age, breed, or production stage, simplifying the management of large herds.

The Individual Animal Management (IAM) subscription tracks data at an individual animal level, through the use of electronic or visual identification/ear tags (EID & VID). This includes specific weights per animal and specific treatments given to an animal.

The IAM system also integrates with EID tags, enabling efficient scanning during activities like weighing or pregnancy testing.

If considering switching to the IAM subscription you'll need to make sure:

Bulk data entry can be facilitated using a CSV file import. Ensure the file includes mandatory fields such as Tags, Breed, Age Class, and Date of Birth.

As your operation grows, mob-level averages can start to hide the detail you need. That might be tighter breeding and culling decisions, more precise treatment records, per-head cost tracking or traceability obligations. Individual Animal Management (IAM) gives every animal its own record, linked to its EID or VID tag. You can record weights, treatments and pregnancy status at the crush with Live Sessions, connect your EID hardware, and in Australia submit movements directly to NLIS.

Switching does change how your team works day to day, so it's worth planning. Your Mob livestock records won't carry over to IAM, so export anything you want to keep as Excel or CSV before you switch. Most producers switch at a natural break, such as after weaning, after a muster or at the start of a new production cycle, rather than partway through joining or calving. Your account administrator asks for the change and our Support team makes it for you.

To switch between subscriptions, all animal data (Mob data if moving to IAM or vice versa) will no longer be accessible. Before making the switch, any animal data that you want to retain for recording keeping purposes can be exported as either an excel file or a CSV. Ensure that all farms linked to your account are prepared to function under the desired subscription mode (IAM or Mob), as operations cannot mix modes across farms. Switching requires starting fresh in the new system. Historical data from Mob Management will not transfer to the IAM subscription.

You can export the livestock list and any of the reports. You can also use the date picker or search filter (top left) to find and export all the necessary data.

All other information, even if the subscription is changed, will remain the same including, map (paddocks & landmarks), inventory, tasks, cropping and rainfall reports.
