Connecting to the Te Pari T1/T30 System

How to connect your Te Pari T1/T30 system to your AgriWebb Mobile App.

Updated over a week ago

Note: The ability to connect to EID hardware is only available on Individual Animal Management. For further information on this feel free to check out our Plan and Pricing page or contact the team.

The Te Pari T1/T30 systems can connect via Bluetooth to the AgriWebb Mobile App. A number of configurations can be used to record weights along with EIDs within AgriWebb.

It is also important to ensure that your Te Pari hardware is running the most recent firmware updates and is configured to work with AgriWebb. For help with configuring your Te Pari hardware please contact Te Pari support.

To see the full list of AgriWebb supported EID Readers see here.

Setup Considerations

The T1 has 2 physical male connectors (Amphenol plug) that can connect to your Load Bars.

If you have a wireless panel connected to the T1 over bluetooth then you will not be able to connect the T1 with the device running AgriWebb (see option 1 for this below).

Two standards exist for bluetooth connections. Bluetooth serial (also known as Classic) and Bluetooth Low Energy. Except for a few exceptions iOS devices support connecting to devices that support Bluetooth Low Energy connections (like the T1 and Shearwell stick reader. See the supported list here). The T1 supports both bluetooth standards, but we recommend using bluetooth low energy, and if using iOS devices then you must use Bluetooth Low Energy.

The device running AgriWebb must connect to the T1

Setup Options

There are various ways to configure the T1/T30 systems with AgriWebb.

If you have a bluetooth stick reader or blue tooth panel reader:

  • Option 1 (iOS and Android)

If you have a wired panel reader:

  • Option 2 (iOS and Android) (Preferred)

Option 1: (iOS and Android) Bluetooth EID Reader

In this setup AgriWebb will supply the EID to the T1 over bluetooth, and weights will be sent to AgriWebb. Both the EID and weight details are sent to the Te Pari Scale App or T30 system.

As the T1 can only connect to a single bluetooth device at once we use that connection with the device running AgriWebb. The device running AgriWebb will connect to the bluetooth EID reader.

The T1 must be configured to allow Bluetooth Low Energy connections and to receive EIDs and emit weights to the connected bluetooth device. Te Pari support can assist updating the T1's configuration.

With the T1 prepared connect each device over bluetooth.

This setup requires Te Pari support to configure your T1 to receive EIDs from AgriWebb (the connected Bluetooth device) and to emit weight values over bluetooth as well.

  1. Connect the EID Reader to the device running AgriWebb via bluetooth. More info on connecting your Mobile App to hardware can be found here.

    1. Enable Bluetooth scan on the EID Reader

    2. AgriWebb Mobile App > Menu > Hardware Connections > Connect new device. For iOS devices select from the set of support EID readers. Android devices can search the EID reader.
