In order to create a purchase record on our Individual Animal Management subscription - you will first need to add those animals to your farm. More information here on adding animals.
Create a Purchase Record on the Mobile App
Select the Livestock tab from the bottom of your screen.
Tap Create Bulk Record. Select your species followed by Purchase from the record list.
Complete all the fields relevant to your operation.
Prices for the purchase can be entered as a generic price per head or individual prices for each animal. You can also choose to record a purchase weight.
Additional costs can be entered by selecting Add additional cost at the bottom of the form. This can be used for labour costs, transport, levies, commission and other additional costs. You may record as many of these costs as required.
Note: The fields shown in Basic view depend on the country of your farm and the species of animals purchased. To see all fields click the settings cog at the top of the screen and select Advanced.
Once the details are complete tap Save to record the purchase.
Create a Purchase Record on the Web App
Select Livestock and Individuals. From here you can click Add Records.
Choose the relevant species and select the Purchase Record option from the list of available records.
Selecting animals for the record
You have a variety of options for selecting animals for the record including uploading them via a CSV. Click the 'Select Animals' drop down menu for the following options:
Individual animals (selected one by one)
Select from paddocks (for quick access to a group of animals in a desired paddock)
Select from management groups
Animals from previous records (if you've recently created a record on the same animals)
Import selection from CSV (if you have a CSV file to upload with the specific animals)
Purchase Prices and Weights
Prices can be entered as a generic price per head or individual prices for each animal.
If you choose to record individual prices, you can also choose to include a purchase weight and select how this is calculated.
Please note that while you can use a CSV file upload to select the animals you wish to record against, you are currently unable to use a CSV to upload the corresponding prices per animal.
Once all the relevant fields in the record are filled in, you can click Save.
Reporting
You can view all your purchase records in the Purchase Records Report on the Web App.
Editing Records
The record can also be viewed from your animal histories. Tap the Review button to edit this record. For more information see Edit an Individual Record.
