Place a Rain Gauge on the Farm Map

To get started, place a rain gauge on your Farm Map as a landmark. See 'Add Area, Infrastructure and Landmarks to your Farm Map' for more information on adding landmarks to the Farm Map.

Some quick steps for adding a rain gauge via the Mobile App:

  • From the Farm Map, select the Paddocks tab

  • Tap the green pencil icon, then tap the green plus icon

  • Select Landmark > Rain gauge

  • Adjust the map and when in the right location, select Place rain gauge

Note that we offer a water monitoring integration with Farmbot that automatically creates the rain gauge landmark on the AgriWebb map and populates rainfall data from the Farmbot rain gauges. Learn more here if you'd like to integrate your Farmbot sensors with AgriWebb.

Rainfall Insights on the Mobile App

On the Mobile App home page you will have a Rainfall section that will automatically cycle through several insights:

  • Total rainfall YTD (year to date)

  • Rolling 12 month average rainfall

  • Monthly total rainfall

  • Last years monthly total rainfall

  • Long term monthly average rainfall

  • Wet days YTD (year to date)

You can click Go to records to see a full summary of records and the rainfall chart.

Press Switch Rain Gauge to see records from alternative rain gauges on farm.

The graph will also show the rainfall total for the same month the year prior in light blue. To view the exact rainfall per month, tap on the corresponding bar on the graph.

The black line signifies the 12 month Rolling Rainfall for that period.
