While you can see your own GPS location within AgriWebb, we're unable to share the location of other users on your account. Sharing the location of other AgriWebb users for safety reasons is a frequent request that we get from customers. We have a work around below using location sharing via Google Maps and Apple Find My app that may help with this.
Please note this is all based on personal preference and your comfortability with sharing your location with others. To ensure privacy concerns are mitigated, AgriWebb recommends discussing internally the protocols you may to establish before sharing locations.
Share your location with others via Google Maps
Sharing your location on Google Maps is quite simple, whether you want to let someone track your movement in real-time or just send a one-time "pin" of where you are.
Share Real-Time Location
This allows people to see your location and even your device's battery level
Open Google Maps on your iPhone or Android.
Tap your profile picture or initial in the top right corner.
Select Location sharing.
Tap New share (or "Share location").
Choose a duration: * Select a specific time limit (e.g., "For 1 hour").
Or select "Until you turn this off" for indefinite sharing.
Select a contact:
Google Contacts: Tap the person's name if they have a Google account.
Others: Swipe through the suggested apps (like WhatsApp, iMessage, or Messenger) or tap More options to copy a link and paste it into any chat.
You can stop sharing at any time by going back to Profile > Location sharing and tapping Stop next to the person's name.
With this activated, if you would like to see the exact location of another family member or staff on the farm, you can now open Google Maps and see their 'pin' on the map. Keep in mind this may not work for areas of no cellular data connectivity.
Share Your "Trip Progress" (ETA)
Use this when you are already navigating to a destination and want someone to see your arrival time.
Start your Navigation as usual.
Swipe up on the info bar at the bottom (where the remaining time is shown).
Tap Share trip progress.
Select the contact you want to notify.
Note: Sharing automatically stops once you reach your destination.
Share you location with others via Find My App on iPhone or iPad
