Favourite Livestock Breeds

Manage your livestock breeds in Farm Settings

On the Web App, select Account from the left navigation panel. Select Farm Management under Farm Settings. Proper customisation of breed settings helps streamline livestock management by ensuring that records are accurate and align with the farm's operational requirements.

Do note, only Farm Managers & Admin have access.

Select Actions to against the specific farm, then select Settings

Here you will find Favourite Breeds

Choose your shortlist of breeds for cattle and/or sheep from the available breeds list. Select the breed(s) and use the arrows or double-click on the breed to move it across. If a desired breed is missing from the list, check your 'favourite breeds' settings to ensure the breed is included, or remove any active filters to display all available breeds.

If you have a primary breed, you can set this as your default which will be automatically selected when adding livestock on the mobile or web app.

Adding a new breed

Please note the ability to add a new breed is only available on our mob management plans.

If on the IAM management plan, reach out to our customer support to add in your new breed types.

We have compiled a list of common sheep and cattle breeds for you to choose when adding your livestock. You can also add a new breed by using the Add Breed button via Favourite Breeds in your Farm Settings.

Continue reading to learn how to add a new breed on the Web App. It's not possible to add new breeds on the Mobile App.

Web App

When in your Favourite Breeds settings section, click the Add Breed button in the top right to add a custom breed to your shortlist and utilise when adding livestock.

Type in your custom breed in the field provided. It will be added automatically to your favourites list.
