Split Lambs and Calves Based on Sex
If you sex your lambs or calves at weaning you are given the option to split them when creating the record.
Entering Weaning With Sexing:
Start by selecting Sex Unsexed Weaners and entering the number of head by sex. The Mob will need to be named and have an average weight for each sex. The treatments applied at weaning can also be entered. Once all necessary information has been entered click Save.
You can track all your weaning records via the Weaning Report or your Fertility Report, see the articles linked for more information.
After you save a weaning record, you will then have the option to apply any applicable treatments (see the Livestock Treatment article for further details).
Weaning part of a mob
Currently all animals in a mob will be weaned if a weaning record is applied against them. If you wish to only wean part of a calf or lamb mob, split out the group into two, one mob to be weaned and one to remain as is. To learn more about splitting mobs view this article here.
