Weaning Record (Mob)

Smash through your weaning with meaning in Mob Management

Updated this week

Creating a Weaning Record

Currently you can only create a weaning record on the app. This record is not available on the web.

On the Mobile App by selecting the Map and pressing on the Livestock option.

Tap on the livestock group you would like to create the weaning record for and navigate to the Mob tab > select Mob and click into a specific Lamb or Calf Mob.

From here, press More at the bottom-right of the screen and then hit Wean.

Entering Weaning Details

1. Enter the Weaning Date and click Next. If you don't yet have the mobs split into sexes, you have the option to split the mobs based on the sex.

2. Enter the Name, Animal Unit and Average Weight for the livestock, and then the Paddock destination. You can also update tag colour and/or Management Tag.

3. Click Save.

You can track all your weaning records via the Weaning Report or your Fertility Report, see the articles linked for more information.

After you save a weaning record, you will then have the option to apply any applicable treatments (see the Livestock Treatment article for further details).

Weaning Part of a Mob

Currently all animals in a mob will be weaned if a weaning record is applied against them. If you wish to only wean part of a calf or lamb mob, split out the group into two, one mob to be weaned and one to remain as is. To learn more about splitting mobs view this article here.
