Mobile Device Recommendations and Minimum Device Support

Based on requests from customers we have put together this guide to assist customers in selecting a mobile device to use with the AgriWebb app. This guide will be updated as necessary and is subject to change.

iPhone, iPad and iOS

We recommend devices that are still under support by Apple, in particular:

To check what iPhone model you have, go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > ABOUT > MODEL NAME.

Android

Android devices have more variation than iPhones as there are many companies that produce Android devices.

We recommend selecting and using a device on this benchmarking list that scores at minimum 800 but ideally 1000 and above on the single core list.

This does not mean that you cannot use AgriWebb on devices with a lower score but the device may not work optimally.

What if my device is older?

This does not mean that you cannot use AgriWebb on devices older than the recommendations above, but it does mean that phone performance will continue to get worse over time. If you start to notice that AgriWebb is running slowly and not performing like it used to, then it might be time to look at upgrading your device.

Note: Larger operations with over 5000 head should look at a more performant device, please contact us if you’d like specific guidance.

Note: For customers using Individual Animal Management (IAM), iOS devices do not integrate with all EID hardware, please review this supported hardware and devices list for a full breakdown of iOS v Android EID hardware integrations to ensure your EID hardware is supported.
