Connecting a TruTest EID reader to AgriWebb

Setting up the EID reader

  1. From the Main Menu screen on the wand, navigate to settings > Bluetooth > search for devices > select your device. (XRP2: Ensure Bluetooth is switched on)

  2. On your mobile device, navigate to settings > Bluetooth > select the reader

  3. The Bluetooth indicator light on the reader will illuminate blue when connection is successful

Connecting to the AgriWebb App

  1. Navigate to the AgriWebb mobile app. Under Menu, select Hardware Connections. The device should be auto-discovered and listed, so simply tap Connect.

  2. Start a scan from the main menu of the reader

Troubleshooting

If you are having trouble connecting, you can manually connect to the device by tapping on the green bar at the bottom of the page:

  1. Connecting a new device.

  2. Select reader.

  3. Choose the device model from the drop-down, enter the IP address of the EID reader. Then select Save.

To find this IP address, go to the list of Bluetooth connections on your mobile device settings and select the 'i' next to the reader's network. The IP address is listed here and is a combination of numbers and letters. AgriWebb needs the IPv4 address.

Keyboard not showing?

  • On an iOS device, there should be a 'keyboard' icon in the corner to launch the keyboard

  • Side swipe to your notes app to launch the keyboard, then swipe back to AgriWebb

  • Switch to a device with a bigger screen (i.e. iPad or android tablet)

Other Tricks:

  • Try turning all devices off and on again
