ADG Definitions & Calculations

Mob Card

  • Avg Last Weight: This is the last actual weight record recorded for the mob.

  • Avg Estimated Weight: See more on the section below.

  • Actual ADG: This is based on the daily gain between the two most recent weight records (last recorded weight - 2nd last recorded weight / days between weights).

  • Assumed ADG: This is the ADG you have recorded against the mob for the current point in time.

Estimated Weights

After at least one actual weight and one assumed ADG (or 2 actual weights), AgriWebb can estimate the mob's current weight as of today. This value can be found in the Mob Details window.

Avg Estimated Weight is the estimated weight as of today, based on the last recorded weight and actual OR assumed average daily gain. The estimated weight of a mob will be projected for up to 90 days after the last recorded weight. After 90 days, the estimated weight will stop increasing, this is to prevent animals continuing to increase forever and the data becoming inaccurate.

Note: If there is no assumed ADG, we will use the actual ADG (see definitions of these below)

This Weight over time chart will show you the mobs estimated weight today based on both Assumed daily gain records (in yellow) AND actual daily gain (in blue).

What happens to the ADGs after merging mobs?

After merging, the new mob will take the weighted average of the ADGs for the mobs merged. The actual “last weight” will still be the most recent weight, not weighted average.
