Feed Inventory Management

Learn how to add, edit and manage your feed inventory.

We've recently updated the Feed Inventory function within AgriWebb. This update is currently unavailable in Australia, the UK and the US, but coming soon. In the meantime, the original Feed Inventory remains unchanged and available for customers.

To add a new feed inventory item, start by navigating to Inventory → Feed → New Feed Inventory.

Enter Feed Details

  • Select the category for the feed.

  • Choose the feed type (you can select from our dropdown list, or add a new inventory item)

    • The display name will automatically fill based on the feed type but can be edited.

  • Set the feed unit (e.g., bale, bag, block).

    • Add the average weight per unit for the feed.

  • You can also enter the dry matter percentage.

  • Set Storage Information

    • Select the storage location for the feed.

    • Enter the capacity of the storage location (if it is on farm)

  • Save

Add Inventory to the Feed Item

  • From the Inventory page, select the feed item.

  • Click Add Record → Add Inventory.

  • Enter the number of units you have. (For example, if your feed unit is a lick block, enter the number of blocks on hand as of a specific date.)

  • Add the current price per unit if available.

  • Set the Feed Out Value

    • Choose how to calculate the feed value:

      • Current Price - uses the most recent price.

      • Weighted Value - averages the cost over time.

      • First In, First Out - uses the oldest inventory first.

    • From your selection, we will calculate the total value of the feed on hand.

  • Save the record to apply these changes

Additional Actions

  • Enter purchase details to track purchase information (vendor information, transport information and additional costs)

  • Record a sale if selling feed.

  • Adjust the feed out value if needed.

    • If you adjust the feed out value, the valuation to adjust in the feed summary page based off of the feed value method set.

  • Create a stocktake record if needed.
