Merging mobs means combining multiple mobs of the same type into a single mob. When a mob merges with another mob, the records of both mobs are also combined.

Merging mobs is possible when the Age Class, Breed, Tag Colour, and Management Tags are the same.

AgriWebb Mobile App

There are 3 ways to merge mobs on the mobile app:

  1. Merge on move all mobs
  2. Merge on split & draft
  3. Merging compatible mobs into a target mob

Merge on Move All Mobs

To merge on move, perform a mob movement as detailed in the Move Mobs or Split & Draft articles. When the source and target paddocks have mobs which can merge (i.e. the same Age Class, Breed, Tag Colour, and Management Tags), then you will have the option to merge the mobs in the target paddock.

When moving all mobs, you can see which of mobs you are moving can be merged as they are shown under the heading Merge mobs, separate from the Other mobs being moved.

By default mobs are not merged on move. Selecting β€œMerge mobs in the target paddock” will highlight the mobs to be merged.

The earliest permissible move record date may be affected when merging mobs. Click Why? to determine which mob’s record is limiting the date.

Merge on Split & Draft

When splitting or drafting mobs you will have the option to merge mobs in the target paddock when possible.

By default mobs are not merged on move. Selecting to merge your mobs in the target paddock will highlight the mobs which can merge, and the Move button will become Merge for these mobs.

Merging compatible mobs into a target mob Β  Β

If you have one or more mobs of the same type which you wish to manage as a single mob you can also merge them by selecting a target mob to merge into.

Merging mobs into a target mob is the equivalent of moving mobs from multiple paddocks into the paddock of the target mob at the same time.

To merge mobs from the mob map:

  1. Tap a mob marker in a paddock
  2. Select View Mob Details on the desired target mob
  3. In the Mob Details page, select More from the bottom right hand corner
  4. Select Merge from the Mob Actions (note that this option will not be available if there are no mobs which can merge into the selected mob).

The Merge mobs page lists the mobs from across your farm which can be merged into the target mob. Select the mobs you wish to merge.

Tap Next to see a summary of which mobs will be merged, and to specify the record date.

Editing mobs to enable merge

For mobs to merge together, each of these characteristics must match:

  • Age Class
  • BreedΒ
  • Tag Colour
  • Management Tags

If these values do not match but you wish to merge mobs in order to manage them as one mob, then you can edit one of the mobs to match:

  1. Tap a mob marker in a paddock
  2. Select View Mob Details on the relevant mob
  3. In the Mob Details page, select More from the bottom right hand corner
  4. Select Edit from the Mob Actions
  5. In the Details page scroll down and change any of the above characteristics to match the other mob.
  6. Select Save
