Creating Records (Mob)

How to create livestock records in the Mob platform

Mob records can be added in via the Web or Mobile App to either a single Mob or a number of Mobs.

Note: Any asterisk (*) sections are required on the records in order to save but anything else can be added or left dependant on your preferred level of detail for the record.

Mobile App

On the Mobile App press on the Map icon and Select the Livestock tab.

Tap the livestock that you wish to record a record against, this will bring up the Paddock Overview. From here there are two ways to create records.

  1. Select Animal Record then Treatment if you want all the livestock in the paddock to be treated.

  2. To create a record to a single mob, select Mobs and Mobs and click the livestock you wish to treat.


    Then select More, to select the relevant record.

Fill Out the Form

Fill out the fields. For some records you can toggle between basic and advanced for higher level details (top right).

If there are errors in the form, this will present with a red highlights.

Tap Save when finished.

If you prefer to have the advanced fields automatically displaying on a record, head to the menu > settings > select on "Always show advanced fields"


Web App

Click on Livestock followed by Mobs to view your list. See Individual Animal List for more information.

Click the Add records button in the top right.

Select the desired record type from the list of record options.

Alternatively, you can click into a mob and select Add records.

Fill Out the Form

Complete the necessary fields. You can use the left-hand tabs to navigate to each section.

Click the Select mobs dropdown to choose from all of your mobs.

Select the mobs you'd like to add to the record.

Click the red 'X' to remove a mob if needed.

Click Save when finished.

For some records you can toggle between basic and advanced for higher level details (top left).
